Our handwoven cushions are made using a traditional back strap loom. The diamond design which is typical of mayan textiles represents the universe and the movement of the sun. This detail is brocaded in with contrasting coloured threads. The complexity of the pattern means that this is a very slow process requiring impeccable precision. Each cushion may take up to 3 days to finish.
